Solar Citadel was developed over the course of 10 weeks, the first play test we did was done using cardboard hexagons and hastily scribbled character sheets. We’ve come a long way since then, printing dozens and dozens of prototypes and failed attempts, soldering and re-soldering, and plenty of troubleshooting. But it was all worth it in the end. Our friends all helped to motivate us on this project from the start and we both made sure to keep each other in check. It was a lot of hard work and passion that went into this game, and we hope that it shows.
So much of our time was put into this, it’s been a long road since we started back in October of 2024, and although it might have had some bumpy parts to that road, we are so happy that we got to make this game and we are so happy that you now have the opportunity to play it. The game itself was a labour of love, their has been over 500 of hours of development put into this board game and we really hope that that fact is reflected in its quality, entertainment and overall design.
